DJ Daddy has always played as a headliner, all over the country. He has also held recurring headlining gigs (residencies) in various places across the U.S. Far too many to mention here. Almost always preferring to play most of the night, and run his mic, instead of a single hour long set. Some of his favorite long-term gigs are regional venues like Banana Joe's (multiple cities), The Circuit, The Quest, Industry, Venue 1215, Rhythm & Brews, Spinners, and dozens and dozens more. But that is really just a fraction of the total professional experience. DJ Daddy is currently the morning talent on 102.9 Jack FM in Tuscaloosa, AL. This is an odd gig for DJ Daddy, not being a radio format DJ. He saw this as a new challenge and jumped at the opportunity to further expand his vast talents. DJ Daddy owns and operates a full service consulting company (8ohm) that provides a broad array of services. We provide DJ services for private events through SoundPro Disc Jockeys - events such as weddings, school dances, private parties, etc with full light and sound packages for crowds and events of all shapes and sizes nationwide; Entertainment sub-contracting for bar & nightclub conglomerates; full management, marketing, and promotion consulting for entertainment related business; and much more. "I have been asked a thousand times why they call me DJDaddy. Well, here it is - the name came from a local radio personality (Speed Racer from the Rick & Bubba Show) doing some emcee work in Industry several years ago. He needed something new to call me; and it just so happened that my son was born the same day he started in the bar. So DJDaddy was born! I am a father. I am a husband. I am a business man that cares about his employees and his clients." - DJDADDY DJ Daddy is available for bookings nationwide, 365 days per year. DJ Daddy is very easy to book, very easy to deal with, and very interested in maintaining good, long-term, professional relationships with all of his clients and venues. Get in touch!

DJ Daddy likes the good stuff from all genres of music! He is not the kind of DJ that says "I am only going to play this one type of music and if you don't like it, oh well!" DJ Daddy enjoys setting the atmosphere for people to have a good time and then watching them dance until they drop. So that means he is going to play anything and everything that is HOT and happening on the dance floor. DJ Daddy can not be lumped into a single genre like most DJs. DJ Daddy will play all types of music depending on the needs of the client.
DJ Daddy will actually take request. |

I have been in the DJ business for over 15 years in almost ever facet. I take great pride in being an entertainer first! I firmly believe the value of a good DJ lies in his ability to blend his (or her) programming skills with a well crafted ability to actually mix the music. Then combined that with microphone / emcee skills and you have a well rounded entertainer - not just a chump who buys equipment and calls himself a DJ. Its about the entertainment value you provide as a DJ, not the ego or the clothes or the girls. I used to think the mix itself was second to controlling the vibe of the room. Then I took some time off and I got out into the world and I listened to these idiot DJs that would take one song and slam it into another and talk about how great they were. No finesse, no skill, no blending or mixing. Just a hard drop. That changed my opinion. My mixing ability has always been like second nature to me. It comes easily to me. So that was never the emphasis of my performance. But having seen this new breed of DJs make a mockery of my profession, I have a new outlook. I've always said anybody can learn to mix; a trained monkey can learn to mix. Now more than ever someone can buy cheap equipment and sit in their bedroom long enough to learn how to mix the same songs over and over again. But it takes years of practice and trial and error to truly become an entertainer! I have said for many years that a professional DJ (any 8ohm DJ) could walk into a club, never mix, and keep the crowd rocking all night using good song selection and a lot of attention to the crowd. This is still true. The difference with DJDaddy and the other 8ohm DJs is that the flow of music, the programming ability, is so strong that the untrained ear never knows the difference. So, again, combine that with a natural, uncanny, unrelenting ability to seemlessly mix those beats for hours on end and you come up with a truly stunning display of audible enjoyment. All of our DJs are trained on that philosophy. That has given us a distinct advantage in this business over the years. That philosophy comes from my experience as DJDaddy. We have a strong national clientele that prefer our entertainment services over local, lower cost, services. I am not the cheapest guy on the block. You get what you pay for.
I understand that making the bar the "hot spot" is a large part of my job. I also understand that I can use my abilities to increase the profitability of the venue; thus making me more valuable. When the customer leaves they should be anticipating the next opportunity to come back and party again. That's my mission. To make people have a good time so they want to return to your venue, pay the cover charge again, and spend their money at the bar. I want your registers to ring and your bar tenders to get paid! I use my abilities as a DJ and emcee to help drive sales. A happy crowd drinks! Drinks equal profit. Happy crowds come back the next night or the next weekend and pay the cover again. I take request because the people that paid to get in and have a good time have a song they want to hear. Those people are the customer! Make the customer happy and the customer will leave talking about you and return over and over again. That's what I do! Adding my services as a DJ will increase your profit because I will drive your bar sales. How many DJs have you ever heard talk about profitability through spirits? That's what I can help you accomplish. Increase your rate of return per head and make more money!

To put it simply, my attitude makes me vastly different. I fully grasp the concept that what makes me successful in the bar business is the bar owners ability to profit from my work. The happier the patron the more they spend, the more they pay to get in, the more they drink, the more friends they bring, the more exclusive the VIP, etc. That means my work is more valuable to that venue; which equates to personal success. For the private event, when it's over and you look around the room, and nobody is ready to leave, you have achieved success. I come to your event with the mind set that I want your guest to leave your event in total anticipation for the next one! I want them to leave stunned at how much fun they had, how much they danced, how much they laughed and cut up with their friends. I put my skills to work for you. That's what makes me different. |
